It's trying to thaw at the moment, despite the odd snow flake falling with the rain. We're in that 'in between' period when the ice isn't slush yet, so it's like glass when you walk on it. Folk are walking in the road round here such is the state of the pavements.
The name on the blog has changed (for those of you who hadn't already noticed - stay awake at the back...) Southport Match Group was talked about, came into being and as quickly as it appeared, it became a 'bad idea' so it disappeared again. If it re-appears again in the future, I won't be involved so the blog name has changed to avoid any future confusion. Unfortunately, it seems destined to be forever linked with this blog looking at the text strings in the Google searches, but that's just the way it goes.
Captain Strap-On was on the cut yesterday according to the Adder earlier today. You're a braver man than me Gunga-Rob. If it's clear by the weekend, I might be on the flyers at the Slipway (full English & black pudding please) on Saturday, and Parbold on Sunday.
