2010 AT Winter League, Round 4 - Heaton's Bridge

This will probably be the briefest of updates as there's stuff going on away from fishing which is occupying my time and attention at present, meaning I was (at best) a bit-part player today.  Hopefully, normal service will be resumed next week.

Anyway, the match was from the bottleneck at the back of Shaw Hall Caravan Park, back through Heaton's Bridge and Martin Lane bridge to midway between Nell Parr's Bungalow and Reg Lawson's woodyard (growing up round there certainly helps locate places...)

I got drawn on the side of the drive to the bungalow by the piggery, which is a couple to the left of the wires.  Even when that length's fishing well that peg's crap, so it was another backs-to-the-wall scratting session again today.  Without labouring the point too much, it was bloody hard work and for the third week running I dragged myself over the finishing line with 8 points for my 1-9-4 of small roach and perch. Danny Martin was round the back of the bungalow and took the section, with Frank Holding not far behind from peg 1 in the section with some cracking roach from the end of the piggery wall.

Due to the stuff going on elsewhere this weekend, I had to get off home straight after the match so I don't know who did what in the rest of the  match.  When Mr Smith sends out the results, I'll update the teams & individuals. Adlington/Chorley next week with the draw at the Lock & Quay.

[UPDATE]

Results are now in - here's the individuals on the day:

1  Kevin Garry (Hindley MG) 4-7-8
2  Danny Martin (Sams)  4-5-12
3  Frank Holding (LAS) 4-1-9
4  Marc Ellement (TCP) 3-14-0
5  Jack Rodgers (Bolton) 3-11-14

There's a stewards enquiry underway after position 8 on the overall individual table was revealed as being occupied by Porky. That can't be right - can it??
